AOS ID

Your AOS ID is your one account for access to a multitude of technical services. The technology behind AOS ID is FreeIPA, this allows the IT department to create a single identity account that you can use to log into department websites, servers, printing, remote access and much more.

Managing your AOS ID

First, make sure you are connected to the AOS network.

You can manage your AOS ID by pointing your browser to https://auth.atmos.ucla.edu.

Accept the self-signed certificate by adding the exception or agreeing to continue. Then you can log in with your credentials.

Your AOS ID password is reset every 180 days (90 days for undergrads) and must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be at least 8 characters long
  2. Contain at least 3 of the following: uppercase, lowercase, number, symbol
  3. Not based on a dictionary word
  4. Not your last previously used password

You can change your password when you are on the AOS network at https://auth.atmos.ucla.edu. Once you have logged in, click on Action from a drop-down menu, then select Reset Password.
